Online registration is now open for postgraduate (PG) programmes in government, aided, and self-financing arts and science colleges affiliated with Mahatma Gandhi University through the Single Window Admission System. 

Details of the Admission Process 

  • Admissions are conducted directly by the university through the single-window system to 70% merit seats and 10% community merit seats in aided forward community colleges, 60% merit seats and 20% community merit seats in aided backward community colleges, all seats in government colleges, and 50% of the merit seats in self-financing colleges.

Candidates applying under management, Lakshadweep, differently-abled, sports, and cultural quotas are also required to apply online. Those applying under management and Lakshadweep quotas must submit the online application number when submitting the application at the respective college. Students from Lakshadweep are eligible for seats in all affiliated colleges.

Applicants must upload digital copies of the relevant certificates at the time of online application submission. After the trial allotment, certain application details such as options can be edited or rearranged, but corrections to the name, reservation category, mobile number, email ID, examination board, register number, and academic marks will not be permitted. No changes or option modifications will be allowed once the deadline passes.

Candidates eligible for reservation benefits must upload valid community or caste certificates issued by the revenue authorities. Those applying for bonus marks under categories such as Ex-servicemen, Jawan, NCC, or NSS must upload the required certificates as specified in the prospectus. Applicants from economically weaker sections in forward communities must also upload the appropriate certificate issued in the prescribed format by revenue authorities.

Those applying for community merit seats in aided colleges should submit their applications online. The university will allocate these seats based on merit among applicants from each community. A valid community certificate in digital format issued by the revenue authorities must be uploaded along with the application.

Original certificates, as mentioned in the university prospectus, must be produced before the principal of the respective college at the time of admission.
