Call for Logo Design Contest for Rural Technology Action Group

The Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India is pleased to announce a Logo Design Contest for the Rural Technology Action Group (RuTAG). All creative individuals are encouraged to participate in this exciting opportunity to shape the visual identity of the Rural Technology Action Group (RuTAG) through unique logo designs.

  • Eligibility: The contest is open to all Indian citizens.
  • Submission Deadline: 15th November, 2024

Awards and Recognition:

  1. Prize Money: The winning entry will be rewarded a cash prize of Rs. 25000.
  2. Certificate of Achievement: Winner(s) will be awarded certificate in recognition of their achievements from the Office of the PSA. 

Logo Requirements:

  • The design must be original and free from copyright violations.
  • Submissions should be in JPEG, PNG, or PDF format at a minimum resolution of 300 DPI.
  • The logo must be colorful and suitable for use across both digital and print media.

Evaluation Criteria: Entries will be evaluated based on creativity, originality, technical excellence, and relevance to the RuTAG initiative. The decision of the Office of the PSA will be final and binding.

Important Notes:

  • Participants must ensure compliance with copyright laws; the winning logo will become the intellectual property of the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser.
  • Submissions received after the deadline will not be considered.

All entries must be submitted online through email rutag-project@psa.gov.in before the stipulated deadline of 15-11-2024.

Terms and Conditions

  • The contest is open to all Indian citizens.
  • Only one entry per participant is allowed. The entry could be an individual project or a team project.
  • Entries submitted through any other medium/mode would not be considered for evaluation.
  • During submission, applicants are requested to include their name(s) & contact details (email ID, phone number, alternate phone number, and address).
  • Each entry should be accompanied by a brief written explanation of the logo and how best it encapsulates its essence.
  • The logo must not contain any provocative, objectionable or inappropriate content.
  • Please note that the logo must be original and should not violate any provisions of the Indian Copyright Act, 1957. The design of the logo must not infringe on the intellectual Property Rights of any third party.
  • The Office of the PSA does not bear any responsibility for copyright violations or infringements of intellectual property carried out by the participants.
  • The winning logos would be the intellectual property of the Office of the PSA and the winner shall not exercise any right over it.
  • The Office of the PSA reserves the right to cancel or amend all or any part of the competition and/or the terms and conditions/ technical parameters/ evaluation criteria. It would be the responsibility of the participant to keep himself/herself informed of any changes in the terms and conditions/ technical parameters/ evaluation criteria stated for this contest.
  • At any state of evaluation, if an entry is found to violate the guidelines, the entry will be removed from evaluation process without giving any intimation.
  • Entries submitted after the last date of submission shall not be considered for the competition.

Technical Parameters

  • Participants should upload the logo in JPEG or PNG or PDF format only.
  • All fonts should be converted to Outlines/Curves.
  • A specification sheet containing graphical construction of the design in exact proportions in a bigger size, along with the final design, theme synopsis and concept is required to be submitted by the winner of the competition.
  • The logo should be in high resolution with minimum 300 DPI.
  • The size of the logo should be 15cm X 20cm.
  • File should look clean (not pixilated or bit-mapped) when viewed on screen at 100%.
  • The logo should be designed on a digital platform. The winner of the competition shall be required to submit the design in an editable and open file format.
  • The logo should be usable on the website/social media such as Twitter/Facebook and on printed material such as black and white press releases, stationery and signage.
  • Participants should not imprint or watermark logo design.
  • Logo should be designed in color.

Evaluation Criteria

  • All the entries received would be assessed by the Office of the PSA for final evaluation.
  • Entries would be judged on the basis of elements of creativity, originality, composition, technical excellence, simplicity, artistic merit, visual impact and its relevance to the RuTAG initiative.
  • The decision of the Office of the PSA would be final and binding on all the contestants and no clarifications would be issued to any participants for any of their decisions.
  • The disqualified entries shall not be used by the Office of the PSA for any purpose and the Office of the PSA shall have no intellectual rights over the same.
  • Any legal proceedings arising out of the competition/ its entries/ winners shall be subject to local jurisdiction of Delhi State.
