Indian Army invites applications from eligible Engineering Graduates for the 66th Short Service Commission (SSC) (Tech) course commencing in April 2026 at Pre-Commissioning Training Academy (PCTA). 

About the Recruitment

• Salary: Lieutenant: Rs.56,100 - Rs.1,77,500 (Level-10).
• Military Service Pay (MSP): Rs.15,500/month.
• Training stipend: Rs.56,100/month.
• Other allowances: Dearness, Technical, Field Area, Uniform, Transport, and Children Education Allowance.

• SSC (Tech)-66 Men- 350 posts
• SSC (Tech)-66 Women- 29 posts
• Widows of Defence Personnel:
• SSC(W)(Tech)- 1 post
• SSC(W)(Non-Tech)- 1 post

Engineering Disciplines:

• Civil, Computer Science, Electrical, Electronics & Communication, Mechanical, Industrial, Automobile, Aerospace, Avionics, Mining, Chemical, Textile, Biotechnology, and other AICTE-approved branches.
• SSC(W)(Non-Tech): Graduation in any discipline.

Physical Standards:

• Men: 2.4 km run in 10:30 mins, 40 push-ups, 6 pull-ups.
• Women: 2.4 km run in 13 mins, 15 push-ups, 2 pull-ups.
• Basic swimming knowledge is required.
• Age: SSC (Tech) Men & Women: 20-27 years (born between 01 April 1999 and 31 March 2006).
• Widows of Defence Personnel: Maximum 35 years.

Selection Procedure: 

Shortlisting, based on cumulative marks up to the final year/semester. SSB Interview 5-day interview at Selection Centres (Allahabad, Bhopal, Bengaluru, Jalandhar). Medical Examination- for candidates recommended by SSB.
