Description of the Book
"Digital Ageing for Sustainable Development: Technologies, Policies, and the Future of Elderly Care in the Context of SDGs" offers an in-depth examination of the impact of digital advancements on senior care in relation to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This edited volume examines the convergence of aging populations, technological innovations, and socio-economic policy in both developed and developing countries.
The book analyses the opportunities and problems presented by emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence (Al), telemedicine, wearable health devices, blockchain, and smart home solutions, using a combination of sociological theory, empirical research, and multidisciplinary case studies. It evaluates how these technologies might either mitigate or intensify socio-economic inequalities in aged care, providing insights toward sustainable and inclusive digital care systems.
This two-volume collection presents theoretical frameworks and practical applications, equipping policymakers, researchers, and practitioners with innovative analyses and implementable solutions to enhance sustainable aged care.
