We are excited to introduce you to the Goonj Paid Internship Program (Oct 15th – Dec 15th, 2025). This is a unique opportunity for young individuals to gain hands-on exposure to social impact, and urban-rural linkages while working closely with the Goonj team.
Who can apply?
Goonj aims to build an equitable relationship of strength, sustenance, and dignity between the cities and villages, using under-utilized material as a tool to trigger development with dignity. We envision growing as an idea across regions, economies, and countries using urban surplus material as a tool to addressbasic but neglected issues of the financially and materially poor, involving them in designing and implementing their own solutions, with their own efforts, knowledge, and dignity, and material as a reward for their participation.
Our Journey Towards Sharing- Listen to your heart, Goonj.. it! - This October, join hands with thousands across India for Joy of Sharing Month – a people-led celebration of conscious giving, from 2nd to 31st October 2025. For years, we’ve spoken about the joy of giving. But when we look closer, what truly changes lives is not just giving – it’s sharing – whether it’s time, skills, stories, or material. The outcomes of this sharing in turn enables Goonj’s work of nudging rural communities across India, to share their wisdom and efforts, to address challenges of water, education, disaster response and much more and reignites people’s dignity
For a wilful, multi-lingual and inquisitive person, the sky is the limit. Here at Goonj you will be tasked with various activities and opportunities which will take you on a whirlwind of self-discovery while having tons of fun. During your internship you get to organize and be a part of various awareness initiatives organized by Goonj. If there are any specific skill sets which you have, please inform us so we can proceed in that direction. In the end, what you learn from your stay at Goonj is up to you.
