Project Director

Job Description
- To conceptualise, plan, strategize and execute programs that deliver tangible value to startups and the startup ecosystem. The right candidate will work on technical infrastructure, government partnerships, corporate collaborations, funding and incubation strategies. He/She could also manage early-stage support and investment programs, ensuring startup success and returns for KSUM through equity participation.
- Responsibilities:
- Lead strategic initiatives such as FabLab operations, government adoption of startup products, and corporate engagement programs along with early stage and growth stage funding. Develop and implement strategic roadmaps with clear success metrics aligned with KSUM’s mission.
- Oversee program execution with a focus on effective resource allocation and operational efficiency.
- Ensure long-term sustainability of programs through innovative business models and stakeholder engagement.
- Collaborate with internal teams, government departments, corporates, and technology partners to scale impact.
- Track performance and submit periodic reports to senior leadership.
- Develop and implement funding mechanisms—grants, soft loans, equity support, and strategic partnerships with financial institutions and VCs—for startups enhancing capital availability
- Monitor KSUM’s startup investments (direct and via fund-of-funds), ensuring alignment with impact and return expectations.
Qualification
- Any Graduation from a recognized university.
- M.Tech or MBA from a recognised university is desirable.
Experience and Skills
- Minimum 08 years of total experience, with at least 4 years in a leadership role within the startup ecosystem, including experience in managing startup incubators, accelerators, startup programs, or similar initiatives. Experience in innovation management, government/industry partnerships, or program leadership is preferred
- Strong knowledge of startup ecosystems, prototyping infrastructure, and public-private partnership models.
- Excellent strategic thinking, execution capability, and leadership skills.
- Age Limit:** Must be below 50 years as of 01.01.2025
- Remuneration: The selected candidate will receive a monthly consolidated salary of Rs. 1,50,000/-. In addition to the salary, there will be allowances and reimbursement as per KSUM policies.
Project Assistant - HR
Job Description

- Location: Trivandrum or Kochi
- Duration: One year Contract
Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment and selection process, from sourcing candidates to onboarding.
- Support HR Manager and Finance team in processing payroll and all other staff benefits in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records including monitoring of attendance and leaves.
- Plan and execute learning and development initiatives and employee engagement initiatives to promote a positive workplace culture.

Software Developer

- Develop and maintain the platform to support the Young Innovator Program.
- Design workflows, systems, scripts and tools to streamline program operations.
- Implement and manage features for idea evaluations, expert pools, and capacity-building activities.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
- Test, debug, and optimize the platform for smooth functionality.
- Stay updated on the latest tools and technologies to enhance the system and workflows.
Qualification
- Degree or diploma in Computer Science/ Btech or BE in any stream/BCA/ MCA
Experience and Skills
- Minimum one year of experience in software development.
- Strong programming skills in programming languages like HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, Laravel, MySQL, PgSQL and design tools like Figma, photoshop etc.
- Experience with software development tools and technologies
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
