About the Session Geography is a key subject within school Social Science education, helping students understand the relationship between the physical world and the human-made world. At its core, Geography encourages learners to ask a fundamental question: How do human beings interact with and shape their environment? Yet, many of us tend to think of Geography only in terms of physical features, nadi (river), nala (canal), parvat (mountain). This session invites participants to move beyond these familiar elements and explore the deeper questions that lie at the heart of geographical inquiry: What is it? What is it like? What does it mean? We will examine how these core questions can be woven meaningfully into the geography curriculum and how teachers can create richer, more connected, and more thoughtful learning experiences for students.
